What is leap day?

One year is 365days. More precisely one
year is 365.2425days.or 365days 5hours and 49mins. Thus adding
a calendar day every four years is an excess of around 44 minutes each time, or
about 3 days every 400 years. To compensate for this, three days are removed
every 400 years.

Although Terry is muddle now, the clever people make a
easy way to tell which year has leap day as below.

§ The year can be evenly divided
by 4;

§ If the year can be evenly
divided by 100, it is NOT a leap year, unless;

§ The year is also evenly
divisible by 400. Then it is a leap year.

*For
example:*

*Year
1644, 1644 can divided in 4, Y1644 is a leap year.*

*Year
1700, 1700 can divided in 100 but not in 400, Y1700 is a leap year.*

*Year
2000, 2000 can divided in 100 and 400, Y2000 is a leap year.*
